CM: Arteta pushing Arsenal board to sign Real Madrid man permanently as Milan lurk

By Oliver Fisher -

Arsenal still remain the most probable destination for Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos despite reported interest from AC Milan, it is claimed.

The Rossoneri were heavily linked with a move for Ceballos last summer but he ended up joining Arsenal on a season-long loan, and now the Gunners are understood to be keen on making the deal permanent.

The Telegraph reported over the weekend though that Milan are once again keen on the idea of signing Ceballos and have formulated their own loan offer as Arsenal’s pursuit has been delayed due to the exit of Raul Sanllehi.

According to Calciomercato.com, the most concrete hypothesis for the Spaniard remains a stay in London with Arsenal. Mikel Arteta does not intend to lose the 24-year-old and has almost always had him in his starting XI since arriving, a show of confidence appreciated by the player.

The Gunners boss is pushing the board to close a permanent deal with Real Madrid, but Milan can still hope for now.
