CM: Boban fallout means star winger could leave AC Milan this summer

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan may not even be able to keep hold of star winger Ante Rebic into next season amid the fallout at the club, a report claims.

Rebic has seven goals in all competitions already in 2020 having struggled for form before Christmas, and that has led to speculation that the Rossoneri could try and negotiate his permanent signing.

However, everything has now changed. A public row between CFO Zvonimir Boban and CEO Ivan Gazidis seems almost certain to result in the former leaving the club, who is of course a compatriot of Rebic.

According to the latest from Calciomercato.com, Rebic’s future is a mystery at present. Although he arrived on two-year loan from Eintracht Frankfurt – therefore until the end of next season – the farewell of Boban would mean that he is not a certainty to stay beyond the summer.

A lot, one imagines, will depend on what the new management structure and head coach (likely Ralf Rangnick) want to do with the squad.
