CM: Cardinale will be at the Newcastle game – he is an increasingly constant presence

Gerry Cardinale will be present at San Siro tomorrow night for AC Milan’s first game of the season in the Champions League against Newcastle United.

After the derby dismantling at the hands of Inter on Saturday, there is the need for an immediate response against the Premier League side in order to not throw away the very positive signs from the first three rounds of the season.

Calciomercato.com writes that Cardinale is an increasingly constant presence when it comes to following Milan. The Rossoneri owner is increasingly personally involved in the management of the club, to which he wants to show a strong closeness.

This is especially the case after such a heavy defeat as the one suffered in the last derby against Inter. Cardinale will be at San Siro tomorrow for Milan’s first Champions League outing against Newcastle.

The RedBird chief also wants to send a clear message: all the areas of the ownership and management are cohesive to try to match the path taken last season when the team got to the semi-final against Inter.

  1. Cardinale welcome to European football an institution as old as the industrial revolution itself , this is not American baseball where you think monwyball can do wonders, if anything history has revealed in the competition that you need to buy the best players with a savvy manager before you can smell the trophy… the only exception to this logic was Porto Mourinho( a savvy coach) but not all star teams… however right from Milan back to back 1988-1989 success till now, no winner hasn’t fieded a strong team with an intelligent manager…. but you buying $20m players and an idiotic manager! You are doomed to fail….Milan for ever ,it’s you that will leave when the time comes.
