AC Milan are awaiting contacts from Celtic regarding the permanent purchase of Diego Laxalt, according to a report.
Laxalt joined the Scottish champions on a dry loan in the summer, and Calciomercato.com previously reported that there could be discussions as soon as January about making that permanent given how much the Uruguayan has impressed.
According to the same source, Laxalt has impressed Celtic during the first part of the season and has been one of the few positive notes for Lennon. Milan are awaiting signals from the Scottish club, who at the moment seem interested in the possibility of extending his stay beyond the summer.
However, it is worth noting that some sections of the Celtic fan base are not best pleased with the performances of the Uruguay international, who struggled during Saturday’s 1-0 Old Firm defeat against bitter rivals Rangers. His poor deliveries from the left side were in particular picked out as being a major disappointment.
