CM: Chelsea man has ‘sent several clear messages’ confirming openness to Milan move

Chelsea-owned midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has sent several messages to AC Milan suggesting he would welcome a return, a report claims.

Bakayoko spent time on loan at Milan last season and became key part of the starting XI under Gennaro Gattuso despite his initial struggles, though the club did not exercise their €35m option to buy.

He was subsequently loaned back to Monaco last summer but the Frenchman has never hidden his love for Milan. He made the shock admission last month that he prefers Milan to parent club Chelsea during a video interview last month, and il Corriere dello Sport reported earlier on Tuesday that he would gladly return.

This stacks up with the latest report form Calciomercato.com, which claims that Bakayoko has ‘remained very close to Milan’ and has sent several clear messages to the club’ which have confirmed that he would be happy to have a second spell at San Siro.

The 25-year-old has made 19 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 side this season, who have an option to buy him for €40m in June, as per the aforementioned CorSport report.
