AC Milan would not receive a discount on Tiemoue Bakayoko’s transfer fee this summer if Chelsea’s ban is upheld, it is claimed.
Bakayoko joined the Rossoneri in the summer on a €5m loan deal with €35m option to buy at the end of the current campaign.
After a poor start to life at San Siro, the Frenchman has become a key part of Gennaro Gattuso’s side, with the aforementioned summer fee now looking like a bargain.
A report from Calciomercato.com suggests that Milan may have looked for a discount on the €35m price agreed though due to Financial Fair Play concerns
However, the fact Chelsea are currently banned from making any transfers for the next year (pending their appeal) the chances of lowering it are slim, and the Diavolo may instead look to strengthen other parts of the squad.
