CM: Conte in no rush to return to management despite Milan links

By Euan Burns -

Antonio Conte appears to be in no rush to return to management despite the fact that he’s being linked with the not vacant AC Milan job.

As has been reported by Calciomercato.com, the Italian coach is content to remain quiet and see what jobs open up in the near future for the time being.

Milan coach Stefano Pioli has been under pressure at times this season and there have been many assumptions that he will leave the club at the end of this season, although results have been improving in 2024.

Conte took a sabbatical after leaving Tottenham, and he opted not to take the Napoli job when the opportunity arose.

He seems content to wait given there are a number of top jobs potentially becoming available in Europe. Barcelona and Liverpool will need new coaches, whilst Bayern Munich might as well.

The expectation is that he will be in a major job for the 2024/25 season, and it remains to be seen whether that job will be Milan or not.

In truth, there are more signs now that Pioli will be staying in his job next season than not, but it is dependent on how the rest of the campaign goes and what coaches become available in the summer.
