CM: Donnarumma happy and motivated after Juve game – a win that could change his future

By Oliver Fisher -

The victory against Juventus could change the plans of AC Milan’s future entirely, including that of goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Goals from Brahim Diaz, Ante Rebic and Fikayo Tomori sealed the triumph that served a double purpose as the margin of victory means that the Rossoneri now have the head-to-head advantage over the Bianconeri too, as well as Napoli.

As Calciomercato.com writes, Donnarumma feels like to the absolute top he must start playing regularly in the Champions League and if Milan will be able to offer it to him (at the expense of Juventus), they will certainly have a much better chance of reaching an agreement. The bond between Donnarumma and the Rossoneri is always strong and those close to him claim he has been very motivated in recent days and was very happy after the victory over the Bianconeri.

The negotiation does not move as Raiola does not seem willing to accept the latest offer put on the table by Paolo Maldini of €7million net per season plus €1m in bonuses. Milan, for their part, do not want to further raise the offer from an economic point of view, but there is an opening to a contract with a shorter duration than the desired five years. However, a step forward is needed by Raiola, but the Champions Leagues would help.
