Matteo Gabbia could be heading for a spell away from AC Milan as three sides have expressed an interest in signing him on loan, a report claims.
According to Calciomercato.com, Thursday was a ‘day of meetings at Casa Milan’ and the most recent one that took place was between the Milan management and Gabbia’s agents.
The Rossoneri defender will go out on loan next season to find the consistent playing time he has lacked in recent years and which he needs to continue his development at the age of 23.
As per the source, Gabbia will decide the next stage of his career in the next few days. Frosinone, Lecce and Salernitana are in the running to sign him on what is implied to be a season-long loan.
Gabbia amassed 17 appearances last season across all competitions scoring one goal, and he seemed to be behind Fikayo Tomori, Malick Thiaw, Pierre Kalulu and Simon Kjaer in the pecking order when all were healthy.
Haha, how many Italian players are we left with? 4? unless we young Italian players or promote from youth teams

Forgot * on Lazetic
The first 8 are Italian.
So what happens with the homegrown quota?
Well… With useless so-called players such as Origi, CDK, Ballo-Tourette, Rebic one can’t really take advantage of the bigger squad made possible by filling the quotas anyway so might as well forget about the homegrown players alltogether.
Good for him, and wishing the best luck for Matteo.
Although I have a bad feeling about the Champions List (not having many italian and coming from the clubs juvenile ranks).
