Matteo Gabbia has made a decent amount of appearances for AC Milan this season and it looks like there will be more. As a result, he has attracted the interest of especially one Serie A side, a report claims.
Gabbia has featured in ten games for Milan thus far and he has been an important backup, especially in the Champions League amid the injury crisis. It’s not exactly surprising that a few clubs are interested in loaning him, therefore.
According to Calciomercato.com, Salernitana recently reached out to the entourage of the 23-year-old to probe the ground for a loan move. However, a January move is very unlikely as Milan believe they will need Gabbia in the second half of the season.
One can only agree with the above, especially considering how much the Rossoneri have struggled with injury this campaign. Next season it might be more beneficial for the centre-back to go out on loan.
