CM: LA Galaxy defeat means AC Milan revive Ibrahimovic interest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have revived their interest in signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic, according to the latest reports.

The rumour has been circulating around the media recently that the Swedish star could return to San Siro, which was recently confirmed even by transfer market guru Gianluca Di Marzio from Sky Italia.

Now, Calciomercato.com are claiming that Milan have stepped up their interest in Zlatan after LA Galaxy were eliminated from MLS play-off contention over the weekend.

In addition, they claim that the former Manchester United and PSG star finds the prospect of a Milan return more appealing than a move to Real Madrid – who are also reportedly interested.

Ibrahimovic is believed to earn a basic $1.5m (€1.3m), meaning his wages would not be an issue for Milan.

Zlatan may be forced to accept a back-up role in the squad, due to the fact Leonardo has insisted that Gonzalo Higuain and Patrick Cutrone will remain the top two strike options.
