CM: Lazetic could be called up for Cremonese-Milan amid Giroud’s suspension

Marko Lazetic was the protagonist for AC Milan’s Primavera side earlier today as he scored a hat-trick against Atalanta. The 18-year-old could be rewarded with a call-up for the first team’s clash against Cremonese.

Stefano Pioli and his men will take on Cremonese away from home on Tuesday and they will have to make do without Olivier Giroud. The Frenchman received a silly red card after taking off his shirt during last night’s celebrations.

According to Calciomercato.com, Pioli could decide to call up Marko Lazetic for the game after the Serbian’s success against Atalanta today (see highlights here). Divock Origi will obviously start, but an option is needed on the bench.

Lazetic is a great talent but he has struggled with quite a few injuries since he joined the club from Red Star Belgrade. Hopefully, this could be the start of something good for him after personally rejecting a loan move in the summer for playing time.
