CM: Main obstacle outlined in AC Milan’s pursuit of RB Leipzig defender

By Isak Möller -

As the season has been brought to a halt, clubs now have time to make plans for the summer transfer window. For AC Milan, there is bound to be some movement as they are heading for yet another revolution.

Although there have been both confirmations and denials, Ralf Rangnick continues to be linked with the Rossoneri, possibly taking on a role as manager and sporting director. In other words, he would have a lot of power.

Per Calciomercato.com, the German could try to bring two of his pupils at RB Leipzig to the San Siro, namely Dayot Upamecano and Amadou Haidara. The former has been linked with the club before, and Rangnick’s arrival could be crucial.

However, as stated by the same outlet, there is one obstacle in Milan’s pursuit of the centre-back: the costs of the operation. In fact, the German side have slapped a €70-80m price tag on their star.
