CM: Mendes swap idea to Borussia Dortmund’s enquiry – Milan’s clear stance on Leao outlined

By Oliver Fisher -

Borussia Dortmund appear to be intensifying their interest in Rafael Leao forcing Jorge Mendes to come up with a strategy, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com writes that Leão’s future is yet to be written, as the Portugal U21 international is coming off the back of yet another season in which he alternated an excellent first half of the campaign with a poor return after Christmas. Borussia Dortmund are very keen and the German club has already taken information from agent Jorge Mendes.

They are now considering the possibility of delivering an offer to Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara. Maldini’s confidence in the 22-year-old has never been lacking and the director is convinced that Milan have a talent with big potential, which is why the idea of the club would be to take into consideration only any offers from €30m upwards, in order to generate a useful capital gain.

Jorge Mendes’ idea of an exchange with Everton including a James Rodriguez card would be difficult to implement. Milan would like to monetize as much as possible, without giving anyone discounts, a message relayed to Marseille and Wolverhampton.

  1. If Borussia Dortmund are interested in Leao then Milan should think carefully about whether to sell the player. It was a matter of days before it exploded, I think Mr. Milan must keep it in his ranks. Let’s remember what happened to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, I hope Milan will not make the same mistake again

  2. The problem i have with our management is that, we are too quick to sell our young players, we are never patient with young players since the days of Galliani and Belu. Why do we want to sell when our plan is to build a team around young and talented players. Am just fed up with whole news of selling Hauge, Leao and with our slow attitude towards signing new players.

  3. Talented, but I’ve seen so many talents down the drain.
Lacks the concentration and mentality and even motivation to play for an ambitious club like Milan.
Cash in now that it’s still feasible.
