CM: Midfielder set for significant pay rise at Milan amid Premier League interest

By Isak Möller -

In order to avoid another Donnarumma and Calhanoglu-esque situation, Milan will soon be looking to renew the players that expire in 2022. Franck Kessie is one of them and the Rossoneri are keen on keeping him.

The Ivorian has been a very important player for Milan in the last few years, especially this season, and it’s clear that it would be very hard to replace him. Therefore, talks about a renewal will soon take off with his agent.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Kessie currently earns around €2.2m per year and he’s destined to get a pay rise in the new deal. There has been interest from Premier League but the Rossoneri’s intentions are very clear.

Furthermore, the midfielder himself wants to continue his adventure with the red and black shirt, ready to pen a new deal. It remains to be seen when the negotiations will really get going, but they are certainly in the pipeline.
