CM: Milan stand firm on €150m demand as PSG prepare Leao attempt

By Isak Möller -

Rafael Leao is yet to renew his contract with AC Milan and it’s not exactly strange that he has been linked with several big clubs over the last few months. PSG are the latest side to join the race, a report claims.

Leao’s contract will expire in 2024 and Milan have been working on the renewal for several months now. As reported by Calciomercato.com, in spite of having made no progress lately, the Rossoneri are still confident that they will secure the renewal.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain are planning for the future and since the likes of Leo Messi and Kylian Mbappe could leave, they need strong replacements. Leao could be one of them and he’s the main focus of sporting director Luis Campos.

As per the report, Milan are still rooted to the €150m price tag (the same as the release clause) and PSG might be able to pay it. On the other hand, if the renewal doesn’t get done in time, the French side would have some leverage in the negotiations.

The question, therefore, is whether the Rossoneri are willing to sell Leao for less than €150m if the offer is good.

  1. He’s been useless for 2 months now. I think he’s trying to force a move. I just hope we get something for him but I doubt it will be over $100M

  2. Also, here’s hoping that Messi goes to MLS and Mbappe goes to Madrid, so that PSG will be FORCED to cough up for Leao.

  3. Leao is still very young. And big perspective.

Milan did bad in serie a this year, Leao is not mature yet, but still first attacker of Ac Milan.

Good offer should be considered and Leao should think more about his future.

  4. Inter also stood firm on a ridiculous unrealistic demand for Skriniar when psg came for him and now are losing him for free.
But then people will blame the players and their agents for players leaving clubs for free.
It’s the directors fault as always.
Mbappe isn’t leaving psg, and he and Leao play on the same position, so this is another fabricated media interest in Leao

  5. If we had money I wouldn’t consider selling.

But we don’t have money and we need stacks of players.

I’d sell on day 1 of the Mercato for > €90.

There is no point dragging it out and stuffing up other signings.

  6. Stop delusional . With contract only left 1 years and awful performance this season , no club want to pay even 80m euro for leao. His price can only rise above 100m euro if AC Milan win champion league , if we fail winning champion league and finish outside top 4 serie A then leao price will fall down to 50m euro

  7. Has Maldini learned anything from Kessie and his friend that went to Inter????
Get him out of the Milan. He is destroying mentally the other players

  8. Nothing we can buy, can replace Leao in our team. If he leaves, we’ll be fighting around 6-8th in the serie a. Hernandez will leave, bena will leave. We have to invest in the players valueble to us, if we ever want to rise again.
