CM: Milan are big admirers of the ‘best emerging talent’ in Belgium but Atalanta have moved – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

It appears to be a battle between AC Milan and Atalanta to land Club Brugge sensation Charles De Ketelaere, according to a report.

Yesterday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Calciomercato.com) reports how the two Lombardy clubs – who are always on the lookout for young talent that they can sign and develop into top players – are both chasing the same playmaker from Club Brugge.

According to the latest from Calciomercato.com, De Ketelaere is the ‘best emerging talent in Belgian football’ from 2020 and he has earned this tag thanks to the excellent performances he has provided at home and in European competitions, having faced Lazio this season.

The 20-year-old has six goals contributions in 31 league games this season and is known for his versatility as well as his imposing presence, given that he stands at 6ft4.

The report mentions that he has been followed for months by Milan scouts who appreciate the flexibility that allows him to play as a second striker if needed too. However, in recent weeks Atalanta have moved decisively and are looking to win the race for the exciting talent.
