CM: Milan could launch fresh bid for Belgium star in January

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could make a fresh move for Belgium winger Yannick Carrasco in the January transfer window, a report claims.

The Rossoneri were strongly linked with a move for a new forward in the summer transfer window, with Atletico Madrid’s Angel Correa having been the primary target, as we exclusively revealed.

In the end, Ante Rebic arrived on a two-year loan deal from Eintracht Frankfurt on deadline day, however he was reportedly not the only attacker that Milan were in for late in the window.

According to Calciomercato.it, Milan were ready to make another attempt to sign Carrasco from Dalian Yifang in addition to Rebic, but in the end he did not end up arriving at San Siro.

The player himself recently told RTBF: “A player does not lose his talent if he goes to play in another league.

“Future? Let’s see in January, if there is a possibility I have to be ready, but it doesn’t depend on me, it will depend on the offers and the president.”

The report concludes by adding that Milan could go back in for Carrasco in the winter mercato, if the economic conditions were to be compatible.
