AC Milan currently have their eyes on four players as they look to reinforce key areas of the squad in the January window, a report claims.
Calciomercato.com reported how Milan have a remaining €15m worth of budget from the summer window that was not spent, and that they are looking to sell three out-of-favour players in January to boost the budget above €40m.
The same outlet have gone on to claim that such an amount would ‘open up interesting market scenarios’ for the Rossoneri management.
A centre-back remains the priority with Schalke’s Ozan Kabak the player named, but other profiles are also being monitored such as Dominik Szoboszlai.
January will be a crucial month for the Red Bull Salzburg star given the interest of RB Leipzig and other big names and the €25m release clause he possesses.
Marseille winger Florian Thauvin is also a target for Milan and they may try and bring him in during the winter window given his deal expires in June 2021, but the player’s demands of €5m net per season are too high.
Milan are already thinking about a deputy to Zlatan Ibrahimovic and for that reason PSV’s Donyell Malen is a possible option. In short, a defender is the priority, but with the right moves there are even more options that open up.
