AC Milan have met with the agent of Hakan Calhanoglu to discuss the midfielder’s future at the club, according to a report.
The Turkey international was strongly linked with an exit over the summer, even reportedly rejecting an offer from Fenerbahce, while fellow Serie A side Torino were credited with interest by multiple sources.
Calciomercato.com also recently claimed that Calhanoglu represents a ‘dream’ transfer for Galatasaray, who saw a €6m offer rejected.
The former Leverkusen man seems to have a return to Germany on his mind, as he recently stated that he would love to play for Bayern Munich or Borussia Dortmund one day.
On the contrary though, Calciomercato.com reporter Daniele Longo is reporting that Milan met with Calhanoglu’s agent about the potential of renewing his current deal.
His contract is set to expire in 2021 and the player’s entourage have made it clear that he wishes to stay at Milan, the reporter adds, with Paolo Maldini reflecting on the situation.
