CM: Milan locked in talks over €25m-rated Ukraine international – €18-19m bid sent

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are in concrete talks with KAA Gent for striker Roman Yaremchuk but have already sent a ‘final offer’ of sorts, a report claims.

Alessandro Jacobone was the first to report of confirmed contacts between technical director Paolo Maldini and Gent for Yaremchuk. The player is “endorsed” by Shevchenko and could arrive on loan with option to buy at €15-16m, while Sportwereld and Nieuwsblad in Belgium (via FootballItalia) both backed up those claims.

As reported by Daniel Longo for Calciomercato.com, the Rossoneri have initiated contacts with Gent for Yaremchuk, who is putting on a good display at the European Championships with Ukraine. The demand from the Belgian club is very high as they want €25m to let the 25-year-old leave.

Milan currently will not go beyond a paid loan of between €3m and €4m with an option to buy set at around €15m, so an operation coming in at €18-19m. There is still a substantial difference therefore, but he is an option to be taken into great consideration.

  1. I’m indifferent about this move, I doubt any credibility in this news, they would have offered this to Rico Commisso since for Belotti.

“There is still a substantial difference”
From your write up however, I don’t see any substantial difference in the asking and the offering, €25m asking and an offer of €4m loan + €19m option is a total of €23m, and that isn’t substantially different at all by any means.

  2. If he can get here for 4M€ and be a backup it is fine. I think I already know they wouldn’t buy him at the end of the loan, unless he really surprises everyone, including me.
