AC Milan’s priority on the mercato seems to be the midfield and not just Tijjani Reijnders could arrive next week. In fact, the Rossoneri are also preparing to make a new attempt for Yunus Musah.
Giorgio Furlani and Geoffrey Moncada have made Reijnders their No.1 priority for the midfield and talks with AZ Alkmaar are ongoing. However, they also intend to sign another midfielder this summer and Musah is on their list.
According to Calciomercato.com, Milan’s first offer of €15m plus €2-3m in bonuses was rejected by Valencia, who are asking for €25m. The Rossoneri don’t want to go above €20m including bonuses, though, and are expected to make a new attempt.
Musah’s will could be decisive in the talks, just like Christian Pulisic’s was in the negotiations with Chelsea, and Milan will not give up on the matter. It remains to be seen if Valencia will budge on their demands, though.

Unlike Vilareal with Chuk, this doesn’t look like Valencia are merely playing hardball. I think they are convinced that the player is worth 25 mil. Offer something very close to that or abandon the negotiations and go for someone else. These prolonged chases are not helpful to the teams preparations and the club’s image.
I think Milan keeps trying the same strategy with everyone and just taking whoever will accept the lowball offer and claim “best value.” Milan got a steal for Pulisic but that’s because it was Chelsea. Musah is definitely worth €25m. He’s proven to be a good young player in a top league. I think AZ is trying to extract a pound of flesh for Reijnders but they don’t have to sell either.
Exactly. Because after a couple of talks Milan should be able to know what the seller would not accept and mustn’t deliberately offer below that. Villarreal could well soften their stance on the 35 mil demands. Valencia not so much from their 25 mil.
Also with regards to Chukwueze…€25m is good for him. They should offer €20m + €2-5m bonuses and then negotiatiate on the bonus achievability
Although it’s reported that Milan’s last offer to Villareal was a total of 25 mil already. Well the point is ,offer enough to their satisfaction regardless how high their demands ,given their won’t accept less, or abandon the table and move on
