CM: How much Milan will pay for Thiaw – medical tests on Monday

By Isak Möller -

Malick Thiaw will arrive in Milano today as AC Milan have reached an agreement with Schalke 04 for his transfer. Stefano Pioli will finally get his centre-back reinforcement, therefore, and for a reasonable price tag.

The Rossoneri’s interest in the player has been known for quite some time and the negotiations with Schalke 04 were accelerated in the last few days. After the win against Bologna last night, the transfer was announced as done by several outlets.

In fact, Stefano Pioli even shared his thoughts on the player in a post-match interview (read here). According to Calciomercato.com, Thiaw will arrive in the city today and Milan have agreed to pay €6m plus bonuses to Schalke for the transfer.

The medical tests have been scheduled for Monday and that means Thiaw could perhaps be available for the game against Inter next weekend. It’s unlikely that he will get any playing time, considering the importance of the game.
