CM: Milan respond after being offered chance to sign Spurs defender

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been offered the chance to sign Tottenham defender Serge Aurier, according to a report.

The 26-year-old joined Spurs from PSG two years ago in a deal worth roughly €25m but has struggled to assert himself in Mauricio Pochettino’s main XI.

The Ivory Coast international has made just 22 starts for the north London club, and reports have suggested that he would be open to a fresh opportunity elsewhere should it become available.

Milan have been linked with a move for Aurier recently amid doubts over Andrea Conti’s future at the club – with Werder Bremen and Parma apparently sniffing around.

As per an update from Calciomercato.com, Aurier was proposed to the Rossoneri by the player’s intermediaries.

However it was made clear to them that no move would be made unless Conti pushed for an exit.

Reports have suggested though that Conti wishes to remain at the club rather than push for an exit, so the track to the Spurs full-back remains cold.
