CM: Milan set deadline for decision from Ibrahimovic as Napoli lurk

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are still waiting apprehensively for a response from Zlatan Ibrahimovic over a potential return to the club, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, the operation to bring the 38-year-old to the Rossoneri is currently a real stalemate, with Ibra still late in resolving his reservations.

For director Zvonomir Boban, it was not enough to raise the economic offer from €2m to €3m net until the end of the season – instead Zlatan pushes for an 18-month agreement and not 6 with an option for another 12.

Meanwhile the Swede is waiting for Napoli. The Azzurri did reach out to Mino Raiola to learn the terms of the operation, but are yet to make a real concrete move.

Milan remain ahead at present, the report adds, but the situation means that the Rossoneri leadership are losing patience. They hopes reach a resolution before December 15, a deadline set for the Ibra affair, so the next 48 hours could be decisive in this sense.

Boban and the Rossoneri are not willing to further raise the offer and are waiting for a signal from the player, to understand if he can be the reinforcement for the attack or if it is necessary to try other names (such as Mandzukic).
