CM: Milan set for meeting with midfielder’s agent as interest from France arrives

Yacine Adli has still not managed to convince Stefano Pioli and the coaching staff, with a loan move now reportedly seeming more likely than a stay.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan will now enter phase two of the programming on the market which is dedicated to thinning the squad. Several players are not in the plans and Adli is among them, despite the positive signs in the friendlies he has played.

Milan would be open to selling Adli – as we revealed – but a bid matching their valuation seems unlikely to arrive at present. Thus, then viable way exit path is that of a loan to a team that will guarantee him game time.

The midfielder’s agent will meet with the Milan management to analyse the situation in detail in the coming days. Salernitana have expressed interest but Adli asked for time to evaluate his options.

The Franco-Algerian would prefer to return to Ligue 1 if he were to leave, and in the last few hours both OGC Nice and Lille have obtained information

  1. If he does leave, I wonder could squad numbers be changed before the season start? Leao said he likes no. 7 so he can get the 7, that case Pulisic could use the 10 while Chukwueze 11. Well these are just squad numbers but I think it would all suit nicely.

  2. Feel sorry for Adli. This is because he is unwanted player for Pioli. He was Maldini’s choice.

Better for him if he leaving Milan, for his career.

  3. I guess Deketelares arrival pushed Adli more to the bench than he deserved really. I saw every milan game last season including pre-season and Adli looked great, even got some buzz it seemed.
And also, would milan give him the number 7 if he was not in the plans somehow?

  4. There’s nothing empirical about this decision other than Pioli not liking his face. We nurtured even Leao to be what he is today, it could have been Leao that was sold the instead of JP Hauge as it was difficult back then to decide who to sell. I wish him all the best as he’s a good player that is simply unwanted.
