Osimhen and Ibrahimovic smile

CM: Milan have evident stance on Osimhen despite Ibrahimovic’s smile

Victor Osimhen has rejuvenated himself in Turkey with Galatasaray and many big clubs are watching on with great interest. However, although linked with him before, AC Milan have different ideas in mind for the No.9 position.

Last season was rather eventful for Osimhen, falling out with Napoli due to untasteful social media posts. Then, in the summer, moves to Chelsea as well as Saudi Arabia fell through which prompted the season-long loan to Galatasaray.

The move to Turkey has been a success so far, though, with eight goals and four assists in just nine games. Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis was heavily criticised in the summer but as things stand, Osimhen’s value has not exactly decreased.

According to Calciomercato.com, a January move is unlikely but he will definitely leave Galatasaray in the summer. The Premier League is a concrete option, while it’s difficult to imagine him back in Serie A for now. Milan have previously been linked, but the striker would cost over €70m.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic responded with a smile when asked about Osimhen after the summer window, suggesting they did try to sign him, but that was on a completely different formula. As for Juventus, they are in the middle of recovering the club financially, so a €70m signing seems unlikely for them too.

  1. Should cash out. It’s a great opportunity and his contract runs out in 26 so definitely could haggle. 60M seems realistic

    But.
We’d rather get 3 losers for 20M a piece, right. Hopefully one develops into something.

    1. exactly, the proof is that the last time we bought 12 players for the 23/24 season, only a few players showed impressive performance. The rest are like non-existent in our view. You can list which players I’m talking about.

  2. if 70m solves our striker situation that has been an issue for years and gives us a huge boost in our ability to win trophies, then it is good value!

Obviously his wages are high, but if you want a top striker you have to pay them!
Or keep floundering around wasting time and money on old ineffective strikers or play wingers or kids.

It’s time these owners grew up a bit and face reality, we need a top striker, this man is that striker

  4. You folks should ease up on them shrooms and come back down from your fairy castle. Don’t know what’s been going on up there for the last two years but down here, 20 + 8 millions is max what RedBird spent on a single player.

      1. Sorry but there’s a difference between dreaming and being delusional. How people, after two years with RedBird at the helm, still think they will spend that kind of money on one player is beyond me.

        1. So what? There’s no possibility
          BUT
dreams come from ones imagination, it’s like someone hoping some random thing they bought at a yard sale is actually worth millions. It’s not likely, but we’re still able to have that fantasy

  5. We have tried our hands on cheap strikers, and we haven’t gotten a good result, so, getting him next summer will really be a statement. I don’t know what Napoli owner was thinking offloading him for Lukaku, but, Osimhen has shown that he is that good. If Milan can squeeze out the money, Osimhen will be a great addition to the team, especially, now, that our midfielders are beginning to get their rhythm.

  6. No.. No.. No.. No to oshimhen.

If we need new forward, we should buy cheap forward. How we can still profitable next season with expensive forward and playing conference league.

This is cardinale profitable milan without trophy.

  7. Be creative,
    Buy him for 65 million.
Pay in instalments for two year.
    Add bonuses for 5 million.
    Total 70 million.

Sounds easy, but then again, this is real life.
