CM: Milan have clear stance on Rebic’s future as Pioli values versatility

By Isak Möller -

Ante Rebic will most likely get at least one more season to prove his value at AC Milan, following what was a disappointing 2021/22 season. He did enough, though, to show glimpses of his very high ceiling.

The Croatian struggled with several injuries this past season and it’s not exactly shocking that he failed to impress. At the start and at the end of the campaign, however, he at least showed something and that was perhaps crucial.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are convinced that he will do everything to get revenge next season. They also believe he’s a good back-up option for Rafael Leao on the left, and the strikers up front in an emergency.

No interesting offers have arrived for Rebic and Milan will only sell him if an offer they can’t refuse arrives. The No.12 can thus focus on the upcoming season and it remains to be seen if keeping him will turn out to be the right decision.

  1. He was superb during the first half of the season. After his injury was indeed very poor but at least he had some nice moments such as stealing the ball in the 2nd goal against Lazio away.
