AC Milan are working hard on the signing of Charles De Ketelaere and great progress has been made over the last few days. In fact, an agreement is approaching as both parties are keen on making the deal happen.
Stefano Pioli has asked the management to bring in a playmaker ahead of the 2022/23 season and De Ketelaere seems to be the primary target. Given his talent and age, he fits the Milan project perfectly.
According to Calciomercato.com, Milan had a new summit with the player’s agents today and an agreement is approaching on the personal terms. Furthermore, the agents have made it clear that they also want to accelerate the agreement with Club Brugge.
Milan’s first offer of €20m was deemed too low, as expected, but they will soon present a new one and it will include technical counterparts. Emil Roback and Andreas Jungdal have been mentioned, and this could get the Belgian side to accept the deal.
In any case, Milan have no intention of giving up on De Ketelaere and the player himself wants the move as well.
Schira already knows how that meeting went: “ACMilan have reached an agreement in principle with Charles DeKeteleare’s agent (T. De Mul) for a contract until 2027 with a salary of €2,5M/year. Now Rossoneri will work to try to close the deal with ClubBrugge. CDK prefers Milan’s bid to Leeds and Leicester.”
Lol. You forgot to add “Club Brugge have no intention of selling CDK for less than 35M as he is under contract for another 3 seasons and once informed of the cost of CDK, Milan are forced to look elsewhere”
Club Brugge only want 30M, unlike Lille, they are not in financial crisis, they don’t need to raise money so they repsect CDK’s decision to reject Leeds.

We already have a pretty strong team, with Origi coming, Adli who’s been brilliant and Pobega who was excellent too we aren’t out of our depth, also, it would be stupid to just throw money around like a crazy person, go look at Manchester United and what throwing millions around gets you, and how Liverpool spent 9m on Andy Robertson, 6m on Fabinho, Matip on a free, or do u want us to spend 80m on signing trash and finishing outside of the top 4, let me remind you that we won the league last season, De Ketelaere is a beast of a player, so he’s worth the wait, or would you rather have trash like Pogba and Lukaku who have the loyalty and work ethic of two Persian cats. Think before you open your mouth.

Nobody said we should throw money round like a crazy person lol. M&M would never do that even if they had a decent budget to play with. But if we cannot afford to spend 30M on a young promising dynamic player for a position of need, we will never compete with Europe’s best IMO. 30M is nothing in todays market unfortunately. You have to spend about 80-100M per season to compete with the CL teams. That’s a fact. We did it last season for the league – amazing. But don’t expect same this season without some significant signings – esp after our rivals have strengthened. We cannot continue to lose players without adequate replacements AND try to improve. Hope we can pick up CDK, Ziyech, Sanches, CB and backup LB. But if our budget is really only 40M – we are in trouble

€30 million is a lot when a club fails FFP and have a budget of €50 million. If you think a fraud like Sanches is the answer, then you have a lot to learn. Building relationships with a club like Milan is far more important to Brugge than dealing with Leeds or Leicester. If there’s only a €5 million difference, I’m sure it’ll work out. As for Inter and Juve, despite their finances, they keep selling players for millions, we keep losing our best players on free transfers. Let them sign mercenaries, who cares?

But Calciomercato is too late with their new here. Nicholo Schira, the best source out there, together with Romano and DiMarzio (better even perhaps?), has already filled in the details. This is not speculation. For me this borders on certainty. Whether we get him or not in the end, is still an open question.
If Milan refuses to sign quality players in this mercato,we’re still going to finish bottom of our UCL group stages. Go and get players like Draxler,Dybala,Ziyech,Scammaca or Raspadori. Our management are too stingy 😒.

That is of course correct. 30 mill euros + bonuses/percentage of resale/player exchange, will problably be the solution that Milan will seek.
I think 25 mil plus bonuses is the neighborhood Milan should be targeting. He’s a good young player but hasn’t played in a major league.

its all about salary structure guys. Know it well did play by myselfe until 23 then body did no longer cooperate. U need to understand what a boy group is claiming when a baka make vacation in Milanelo for more then 5mio, and you need to understand the Elliot is of course claiming, if that happende once again you are out M&M – so pressuere is huge.
But, we really need to relieve Leao, we have so less impact on RW that he musst play often against 3 defenders. And when Leo is injured we have a problem.
