CM: Milan want Tottenham defender on loan with option – talks underway

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are looking for a centre-back to strengthen the quad and it seems they have set their sights on Japhet Tanganga. The defender hasn’t played loads for Tottenham and could leave this summer.

Alessio Romagnoli, now the former captain of the team, has said goodbye to Milan and has joined Lazio on a free transfer. As such, Stefano Pioli has asked the management to bring in a centre-back for numerical assurance on that front.

According to Calciomercato.com, Tanganga is a concrete target of Milan and talks are underway with Tottenham. They want the 23-year-old on loan with an option to buy, allowing them to focus on other investments now (De Ketelaere).

Yesterday, per the report, the clubs started to talk about the figures for a potential operation and that is a good sign. Should it materialise, then it would be an operation similar to the one that brought Fikayo Tomori to Milan from Chelsea.

  1. This only proves that the best day of the Italian football is behind.
After winning the scudetto,, the best thing you can do is looking for unproven players other teams don’t need

    1. Italian football has been in a downfall since 2006 and the Calciopoli.
Serie A is just a stepping stone for players not the destination. If a player shows talent in serie A sooner rather than later he’ll be on his way to EPL, Spanish league or PSG.
The players that come to Italy are either at the beginning of their career, at the end of their career or someone who has flopped at the better leagues
