CM: Milan’s pursuit of €60m man increasingly difficult – Arsenal, Man Utd and Spurs in race

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan remain interested in signing RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano but face tough competition from a number of clubs, a report claims.

Milan have been repeatedly linked with Upamecano over the last few months, and the speculation has intensified alongside rumours that Ralf Rangnick – the current Head of Football for Red Bull – could accept a role with the Rossoneri.

Calciomercato.com reported that the possible arrival of Rangnick could open up the potential for the move but there are two obstacles to overcome, one being the competition from other clubs and the other being that Upamecano has a €60m release clause built into his deal.

According to the latest from the same outlet, Milan remain keen on the 21-year-old but he is becoming an ‘increasingly difficult target’ to try and procure.

In addition to the price tag which will likely be requested by the Bundesliga side, there is competition from Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham.
