CM: Milan’s stance on Paqueta revealed after meeting with agent

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have no intentions of allowing Lucas Paqueta to leave despite rumours of interest from other clubs, a report claims.

MilanNews.it stated that Paqueta’s agent Eduardo Uram was at the Rossoneri’s headquarters Casa Milan on Thursday to meet the Milan leadership and discuss the future of his client, with several clubs interested in signing him.

It has previously been claimed that Leonardo and PSG are monitoring the situation and could even launch a €60m bid, but now Calciomercato.com have offered an update.

They report that Paqueta is competing with Giacomo Bonaventura at the moment for a starting spot against Bologna on Sunday, and that the return of Jack has questioned the untouchability of the former Flamengo playmaker.

The meeting involving his agent though should not cause concern: it was a meeting on future plans, also because there are several teams interested in the 23-year-old.

However, Milan intends to hold onto him because he is one of the players with great future prospects. The report concludes by adding that Leonardo always has his eye on the situation, but that there are no negotiations at present.
