CM: No confirmation on Torino man as centre-back wish list includes four names

By Isak Möller -

Milan’s search for a centre-back is in full swing as the transfer window will open in just two days. Currently at the top of the Serie A table, the Rossoneri want to stay there for as long as they possibly can.

Even though Stefano Pioli’s men have done wonders even when struggling with several key injuries, they do need some reinforcements. The centre-back position is the priority, as has been widely reported, with several players on their radar.

According to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, the first choice remains Mohamed Simakan (Strasbourg). Ozan Kabak (Schalke) and Matteo Lovato (Verona) are the alternatives, while Nikola Milenkovic (Fiorentina) is an option for the summer.

Meanwhile, there are no confirmations on the Nicolas Nkoulou rumours that have been doing the rounds in a few Italian newspapers this morning. As expected, therefore, Simakan remains the most likely signing for the defence.
