CM: Ibrahimovic wants to end five-month drought in Milan’s clash against Verona

By Isak Möller -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has played an important role in Milan’s recent wins as he assisted the winner against Lazio and intimidated the Fiorentina goalkeeper last time out, resulting in the fatal error. However, he must return to scoring.

The Swedish striker hasn’t found the back of the net since Milan’s game against Venezia in early January. Five months without a goal, in other words, as Calciomercato.com highlight in one of their articles.

There’s no doubt that the injuries have made things very difficult for Ibrahimovic but he’s now determined to reach double figures. He’s currently on eight goals and finding the back of the net would most likely help Milan massively too in the Scudetto race, which is his big goal.

Winning the title with Milan would be the perfect farewell for Ibrahimovic, who might decide to retire at the end of the season. He still has the mentality to play at a very high level, but his body has made things difficult this year.
