CM: Origi has already told Liverpool he intends to join Milan – the figures and details

By Isak Möller -

Divock Origi has been heavily linked with AC Milan in the last few weeks as his contract with Liverpool will expire in the summer. The final agreement is very close as just details remain, a report claims.

The Rossoneri are looking for a striker as Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic aren’t exactly getting any younger. Furthermore, the Origi move appeals to the club a bit more since he will be a free agent.

According to Calciomercato.com, Origi is close to signing a four-year deal worth €4m per year (including bonuses) with Milan. He has put other offers on hold and the negotiation is heading towards a positive conclusion.

The parties are working on the final details, regarding the bonuses and the sign-on bonus, and then just the go-ahead from Elliott Management will be needed. Origi has already told Liverpool that he won’t be renewing as he intends to join Milan, enthusiastic about the project after a phone call with Paolo Maldini.

  1. No, we don’t need the bench warmers of EPL, just because their salary isn’t taxed high. We need men who see their career in red and black, just like Belotti!
    Get Italians please!

    1. Paolo Maldini already phone call origi. Just trust him. They Will sign belotti if ibra out or retire. We already have Italian in squad like tonali and calabria as starter and pobega ,daniel Maldini, florenzi ,plizarri as reserved. Maybe in summer another italian left back ( rumour parisi or cambiasso)and young Italian CB Will join AC Milan to replace romagnoli ( rumour Mattia viti)

      1. Recca hates italians yet supports milan, he argues everything with money this money that. Passion is dead today. Everybody just cares about money and it’s sad. That said Recca is not wrong and is more than entitled to his opinion but it’s a really sad way to look at this once beautiful game, only through the lens of finance…

Nowadays there’s not much difference between Milan and Inter because money has overruled philosophy and history but if you care at all about history the teams split because of that difference (italian players v internationals) (not only that but was a massive reason) so I personally always want a good amount of STARTING italians in Milan. Not 1 or 2 like we have now. It’s sad.

        1. There aren’t big attacking players or strickers of Italy nor in youth sector. You cannot spend big who doesn’t choose /want to play for Milan. It was the players fault who are looking for big salaries not the club history or the own leagues.
Either players go for better league than Serie A or inter/Juventus who will only pay better than AC Milan. Milan have its own restrictions from certain rules to manage the Finances.
No one can blame Milan, its the fault of Italy football federation and Serie A who make themselves behind top leagues.

        2. Why you judge me hate Italian player? Yes i support only AC Milan but become AC Milan fans not mean i obligated or must become italy nation team fans. I support my country nation team in world cup not italy but i don’t hate Italian player. AC Milan already have italmilan project under Montella in the past due to no money but it is failed, you want how much Italian started in this squad now? If Romagnoli playing good ,he will starting not kalulu, our ex GK are Italian but he choose big money to pSG and Maldini see maignan are more better than all Italian GK,nothing wrong with that.Maldini see origi are better than belotti, and you think he is wrong?so better sign belotti just because he is Italian ?

          1. Amen brother… I’m Italian and also bleed red and black. Maldini and massara need to bring this club back to glory and if that means less Italian players in the squad then so be it. Italian attacking is in the toilet. The days of Del Piero’s totti’s Baggio’s Inzaghi’s and vieri’s are over. We cannot depend on someone like Bellotti over origi as he’s shown he cannot even perform for Italy. I would sign both as both are free but I would not sacrifice origi over him as he is younger and has shown he can perform at a high level for his nation and club in big games!!!

  2. It is bad policy to sign Origi feim Liverpool.
Ac milan need Real Number Nine Striker with young age and low salary.Even Augustin Alverez of Penarol is young F INZAGHI.
    And Haley of Ajax Amistaradam.
Andrea Pelotti is beeter tban Origi.
To Dismoralise those whos has real acmilan love is negative policy.Plze Look S Tonali.

  3. Thank you guys for replying with respect. I appreciate your opinion and every opinion. I am not Italian, but I miss romance and passion for the sport and for a club, which was obvious in Serie A the previous years. I believe that FIGC should “push” for more homegrown players by lowering taxes and fees. Just take a look at which national team is missing from the next World Cup again…

  4. Fans who complain that we aren’t signing enough Italians is comical IMO. If the Italian players are good enough Maldini (an Italian) will sign them . If they are not he won’t. It’s that simple. Origi is a solid signing IMO especially for FREE. Scamacca for 40M? Why? He could not even beat out Immobile or Belotti in the national team. Perhaps he may one day be good but for 40M we can spend that money elsewhere on a player like De Kelteare who would be fantastic. Berardi, Belotti are all ok players but none offer the dynamic players we need to compete with the worlds best in CL. If you love the club you will want to sign the best players not just Italian players IMO
