There is just over one week left until the end of the summer transfer window and Yacine Adli is yet to find a new club, but a report has suggested things are moving.
According to Calciomercato.com, Adli is experiencing a ‘painful situation’ because he has the red and black colours tattooed on his heart and if it were up to him he would stay and fight for a spot, but he risks not having the chance to because of the squad list regulations.
The discussions over the last few days have led to an agreement between all the parties that will see Adli’s agents work in harmony to find the best solution for him to leave Milan and go somewhere he can play more regularly.
In recent weeks, several intermediaries have knocked on Milan’s door to ask about Adli’s situation such as Brentford, Nottingham Forest and Leicester in the Premier League, but as of yet they have not gone any further.
The only concrete offer, however, came from the Saudi club Al-Shabab and Adli is not open to the idea of moving there because he wants to stay in one of the top European leagues. In the next few hours, Adli’s agent will try to explore some possibilities in France and Spain to try please his client.
The situation is fluid and constantly evolving, Yacine knows he is not part of Fonseca’s project and is now open to leaving. With just one condition: to look for a team that guarantees him competitiveness at a European level.
Dry loan, OK? 🙂
I kinda feel bad for him. I think he could do something more for this team if given the chance. But it’s probably best for his own career he moves on. I’m sure there is a team in France or Spain that can give him playing time.
I rooted for him, but I just have to accept that he isn’t it. He has had his chances, it’s better to move on.
Just not enough quality in him to stay at Milan, regardless of how you feel about him.
He’s chasing that girl that he isn’t good enough for, bless his heart. Gotta let go so that the right club comes along.
Not enough quality lol?
Ya sure. And Musah has “quality”??? Oh I forgot he’s American so he gets a pass.
He has plenty of “quality”, creativity and vision – BUT was forced to play in a new position that he had never played before. Not many could do that nor would be willing. So yes he had some ups and downs (on the defensive side) as expected. But to say he doesn’t have the quality is a weird take and shows you need to watch film again.
I hope he goes out of loan and is able to play his natural position – CAM – and see what he can do. But I’m sure we will sell him for peanuts like everyone else.
Musah is MILES ahead of him and he is younger. I like Adli but he is nowhere near the quality we need from him
Musah d American gateman ? Adli is far better than Musah… D only thing keeping Musah in Milan is his blue passport…
Not sure why you’re lashing out or how the American thing came into play. I hadn’t said anything about. But yes, Musah has a lot more upside and more athleticism than Adli and with more experience and minutes can be a better version of Kessie.
Adli has played is several positions and hasn’t looked good in either one. I still don’t know what his natural position is supposed to be.
I have seen more skill from U-14 players than Musah. Energy and Effort do not equal skill. Musah struggles with any decisions that isn’t a 5 meter pass and if it’s over 5 meters it’s off target and never the side it should be played on. Aldi is not Pirlo but vision and passing he has. I am so tired of the potential and athleticism thing. Whatever happened to real talent and creativity in football. The American thing is real and I can’t wait till they sell our club. Fora Gerry!!!! Before you say anything I am American. Sempre Noi!!! Forza Milan
well, should we keep him and play him in a position he isnt natural at?
And just for, why not.. All pros will play wherever the coah tells them to play. Its kinda their job to do that.
That’s fine but you also should tamper expectations when you do that.
And that also doesn’t mean he lacks quality if he doesn’t adjust right away. Not as if he has been at it for years and was consistently given starting minutes to learn the position
That is all I am saying.
He’s gone anyways – seems like a moot point now
Someone said he’s not like game changer like Seedorf, Pirlo,Albertini, but more like Gourcuff
Do you remember Daroshoo
That guys was a waste. So was Huntelaar. So was gourcuff, so were so many players through the banter era….
It’s sad that he never was given the chance to play as playmaker
Poli destroyed him
Why buy him if he wasn’t good even for the bench
That’s a good question for Maldini
Yes, Milan already has Brahim and Adli, Maldini instead brought in CDK instead of bringing in a good replacement for Kessie.
I feel empathy for Adli. But for the good of his career he must be strong and courageous to move on . Remember ,when one door closes another surely opens. Never loose hope; opportunities come in working gears; lay hold of any that comes your way, work hard and leave the rest in God’s hands .(see:pro.16:9;jer.10:23
@KKK titan AMEN bro!
We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.
LORD, I know that people’s lives are not their own; it is not for them to direct their steps.
I like Adli
Very good. We need all that ballast to go. Unfortunately Kalulu and Simic were NOT that!!!
Adli i like. shouls use him as amf. backup to pulisic in that role. rlc & tij are not amf
IF we sell, we should do RM style deals with buy back clauses
Sad to see Adli go but ….. that’s the end of his road at milan.
I am surprised, however, that no serie A team seems interested in him. He would be a fine addition to fiorentina, bologna, torino, monza …..
