CM: Piatek has ‘desire for revenge’ as Milan make decision over future

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have a decision regarding the future of Krzysztof Piatek amid rumours he could be sold in January, a report claims.

The revelation of the Rossoneri’s 2018-19 budget on Wednesday appeared to spell bad news for the club, with losses having risen to €146million.

The club were €126m in the red in 2017-18 under the Chinese ownership, and the increase is believed to be in part down to an increase in wage expenditure.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed on Thursday that Milan could be forced to sell a star player in January to offset the huge losses, with Piatek mentioned alongside Gianluigi Donnarumma and Suso.

According to Calciomercato.com though, the Poland international is not a player that Milan consider to be expendable.

They claim that the 24-year-old has ‘shown a desire for revenge’ and is ‘convinced that the criticisms that have rained down on him have been ungenerous’.

Milan are also willing to show Piatek confidence, so much so that he will not be put on the market.
