The beginning of the campaign is approaching for AC Milan, with the Rossoneri set for their first competitive match of the season in the Europa League preliminaries against Shamrock Rovers. However, already at the beginning of the season coach Stefano Pioli will have to deal with some notable absences.
One of these is that of Alessio Romagnoli, who is still recovering from his calf injury sustained last July. Since the preseason preparation began, the Milan captain has been undergoing a personalized program to return back to full fitness.
This represents a big problem for coach Pioli, who, as reported by Calciomercato.com (via milanlive.it), will not be able to count on Romagnoli for the first two league games and for the Europa League. And there are a lot of problems in the defensive phase for the team.
Musacchio is injured and Duarte has offered little guarantees. For this reason, Kjaer and Gabbia will be certain starters at the start of the campaign, while Romagnoli, as noted by Calciomercato.com, will return at the end of September.
