Some positive news has arrived regarding the two renewal situations AC Milan are hoping to tackle over the international break.
The Rossoneri face a couple of difficult negotiations as two of their star players in Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu are currently on contracts with expire in June 2021.
There has been a variety of media speculation regarding the duo, with some sources saying that there is confidence on the part of the club, while others suggest it is far from a formality that they extend their stays.
According to what Calciomercato.com reporter Daniele Longo said on Instagram live (via @ActualiteMilan), there has been a step forward regarding Calhanoglu’s situation.
The Turkey international has apparently spoken with his agent and he knows well that his first request is high. The playmaker still favours an extension rather than a departure, and though his current salary is €2.5m, he asked for that doubling to €5m net per season.
Regarding Donnarumma, Mino Raiola, the goalkeeper and management are all in favour of a renewal which is an excellent base to start from, however Raiola wants a release clause to be included.
