CM: Raising funds almost imperative for Milan and one of €42m duo will be sold – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are listening to offers for Jens Petter Hauge and Rafael Leao in the current window, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com reports that making cash has become an almost categorical imperative for Milan, especially after the €60m spent to sign Mike Maignan and Olivier Giroud plus making Fikayo Tomori and Sandro Tonali’s deals permanent.

Maldini and Massara are particularly busy and one of the possible sources of income comes from the attack department and from the left winger that the club choose to sacrifice, namely one of Hauge or Leao.

Eintracht Frankfurt and Wolfsburg have moved for the former Bodo Glimt star, but Neither of them have got close to the €12m asking price, while Leao is awaiting the next moves of his agent Jorge Mendes.

Hauge would represent an easier capital gain to achieve as he cost just €5m, but Leao is a different situation. He has already rejected the idea of a move to Everton, while Borussia Dortmund are an interesting destination but they have not made a concrete move.

Mendes is working to try and get an offer from Wolverhampton, but Milan are asking for no less than €30m to sell, which would be a big booster for the budget. Leao is ahead in Pioli’s hierarchy as he plays a more central role than Hauge, but the departure of one probably excludes that of the other.
