CM: Rangnick leads the charge as Milan re-ignite interest in €30m-rated Lyon winger

AC Milan are ready to try and sign Lyon star Memphis Depay if Ralf Rangnick arrives as head coach this summer, a report claims.

The Rossoneri could be all set for another revolution this summer as several outlets believe that Rangnick is the frontrunner to take over as the new manager and sporting director.

It is likely that the German would request a number of new investments to put his stamp on the Milan squad early, and Tuttosport claimed earlier today that he will request a new player in each of the four departments.

According to what is reported by Calciomercato.com, Memphis Depay could also become a target this summer. The Netherlands international is due back in the next three months after suffering ligament damage, and with his deal expiring in 2021 – with no sign of a renewal – an opportunity could arise.

In fact, the report claims that the 26-year-old would be open to a fresh opportunity elsewhere and Rangnick could lead the charge to secure his signature as he is a player whom he followed during his time in charge of RB Leipzig’s recruitment.

Lazio have also shown interest, and the outlet concludes by claiming that the Ligue 1 side would demand €30million for the winger.
