CM: Rangnick snub irrelevant as Milan still want Arsenal and Chelsea-linked playmaker

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are still keen on signing Dominik Szoboszlai from Red Bull Salzburg regardless of Ralf Rangnick’s non-arrival, a report claims.

The Rossoneri have been repeatedly linked with a move for the 19-year-old over the last few weeks as speculation suggested that Rangnick – a Red Bull employee – was set to join Milan as the club’s new manager.

Some sources even went so far as to say that terms had been agreed with Szoboszlai who was waiting for Milan to make a decisive assault to sign him, but the fact Stefano Pioli has signed a new deal instead of Rangnick arriving has thrown everything into doubt.

According to what is being reported by Calciomercato.com though, the Milan management remain keen on the idea of signing Szoboszlai despite the snub of Rangnick, and they are joined by rivals Lazio in their pursuit.

The same outlet meanwhile also recently reported that Arsenal and Chelsea are keen on signing the teenager, who was Austrian Bundesliga Player of the Year, as well as PSG.
