AC Milan midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura is a serious target for rivals Roma in view of the summer transfer window, a report claims.
Bonaventura has been with the Rossoneri since 2014 but after six years at the club, it could well be that his journey is coming to an end as his contract expires in June with no reports suggesting a renewal is close.
Calciomercato.com reported on Saturday that the road towards a contract renewal for the 30-year-old is ‘uphill’, with Fiorentina and Roma two clubs monitoring his situation.
Roma and Fiorentina have been credited with interest by multiple outlets, and now Calciomercato are reporting that the Giallorossi are more than just interested in the 30-year-old.
The report states that in recent weeks contacts with Bonaventura’s agent Mino Raiola have intensified but that there is competition from Fiorentina to overcome.
In order to win the race, the capital club are ready to offer a three-year deal worth €2m-a-year.
