CM: The three Milan players currently closest to leaving the club

By Oliver Fisher -

There is a lot of attention and enthusiasm about the signings AC Milan could make ahead of the new season, but time must be dedicated to exits too.

According to Calciomercato.com, there are three Rossoneri players who seem more likely to leave than others, starting with Samu Castillejo. In recent months there have been contacts between his entourage and Valencia (who are close to hiring Gennaro Gattuso as head coach), so that is a track to watch out for.

Then there are Lorenzo Colombo and Mattia Caldara. Starting with the former, he spent the season out on loan in Serie B with SPAL where he started well but struggled for goals in 2022, while he is attracting the interest of Cagliari who want promotion back to the top flight.

Caldara is also ready to bid farewell to Milan again after he went to Venezia and closed the campaign with relegation. Galliani and Berlusconi’s Monza are keen on the former Juventus man as they gear up for a return to Serie A.
