CM: Tonali due back in training today as Gullit offers his advice

By Oliver Fisher -

Sandro Tonali has established himself as one of the brightest young talents in Italy if not in Europe, but Ruud Gullit has given some advice.

Calciomercato.com report that Tonali – fresh from the injury that forced him to leave the national team training camp – was present yesterday at Milanello to carry out an individual workout routine under the orders of Stefano Pioli.

Pioli is confident to have him back in the group as early as today, when the team will resume training and will begin preparations for the trop to face Empoli this weekend. Him being sent home by Roberto Mancini was ultimately precautionary, so he should start the game at the weekend.

The statements of a former Milan great in Ruud Gullit will also add a bit of motivation: “Tonali has great potential, but we shouldn’t expect him to be ready for everything right away. He has to play several international matches, returning to play in the World Cup.”

Gullit knows how important it is to wait for the fruits of hard work to appear, and in the meantime Tonali is looking for his first goal of the campaign after several important contributions last season, but his assist for Leao in the derby was a reminder of his importance.
