In the last few days, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have reached an agreement over salary with Leão as the winger had said yes to the €7m net per year plus bonuses offered by Milan. A signing bonus of around €3m has also been agreed.
Milan will be able to exploit the advantages of the Growth Decree, which means the cost of the renewal should therefore be around €10.5m per year gross rather than the €14m it would be without.
Now, the most complicated step is to come, which is the €20m fine to be paid to Sporting CP, with interest payments and arrears. However, signs of relaxation are starting to arrive and sources close to the negotiation are speaking of a turning point expected within 10/15 days.
