CM: Wolfsburg initiate talks with Milan over Rebic and midfielder could be involved

By Isak Möller -

Ante Rebic is no longer at the top of the pecking order at AC Milan and the two are expected to part ways in the summer. The Croatian winger has already attracted interest from Germany, more specifically Wolfsburg.

Rebic has found the back of the net three times this season and in the last few weeks, getting the chance to prove himself, he has struggled a lot. Therefore, Milan have already decided to part ways with him in the summer.

According to Calciomercato.com, as cited by SempreMilan.it, Wolfsburg have initiated talks with Milan over Rebic. Their manager Niko Kovac is a big fan of Rebic and would like to bring him to the team this summer.

The relations between Milan and Wolfsburg are excellent, as evidenced by the deal that brought Aster Vranckx to the Rossoneri. The midfielder could perhaps be involved in Rebic’s departure, with a straight swap in practice but two separate deals of €12m each on paper so that both clubs get the capital gain.

  1. Please no. Just get the cash. Vranckx isn’t worth even 5m. Average skill, average speed, average passing, haven’t seen him shoot really, average brain. Wtf is the reason for even considering purchasing this guy? No thanks.

  2. Wolfsburg let go of Vranckx, shipped him off to Milan while they went and signed Svandberg from Bologna for only 9 mil.
Svandberg from Bologna, a proven serie A midfielder was bought for 9 mil while Milan agreed to take Vranckx from Wolfsburg on a paid loan for 2 mil and option to buy for 12 mil.
We need better decision makers in the sporting sector of the club.
Wolfsburg can take both Rebic and Vranckx. No swap

  3. Under the circumstances I’d say do it. Rebic is in rapid decline. The man can’t even do the basics anymore. It’ll be hard to sell him for 12 mil anywhere. Although vranckx is not that good at the moment, he has age on his side. With a little improvement after a year or so on loan, we can sell him for at least 15 mil or something.

    1. i actually think he has almost kessie lvl potential. But at 20 he needs game time and trust from coach.. 2-3 years with right conditions for growth he should become a good midfielder. He’s not gonna get any of that at Milan tho

  4. We dont have choice. In this moment no club are willing to buy Rebic 30 years with bad performance in last 2 season. Swap him with aster but no cash involved. ACM can save some salary because Rebic salary 3,5m euro nett/season while aster just 1,5m euro nett / season

  5. He looked promising at the start of the season, but when I’ve seen him recently, he just looks like a slightly better Pogeba
