Lorenzo Colombo is currently on loan at fellow Serie A side Lecce and he has done really well. For next season, AC Milan are expected to keep him in the first team rather than sending him out on loan again.
The 20-year-old striker has made 18 appearances for Lecce this season and he has found the back of the net five times, assisting an additional two goals. One of his goals, which was a screamer, secured a draw away at Napoli.
As highlighted by our colleagues at SempreMilan.it, Milan are happy with Colombo’s development and will likely keep him in the first team next season. Zlatan Ibrahimovic could retire and Ante Rebic could be sold, meaning the Rossoneri would need attacking reinforcements.
Marko Lazetic, another youngster, needs a loan experience similar to that of Colombo this season. The latter could thus get a lot of space in Milan’s first team next season, even if he wouldn’t be at the top of the pecking order at least initially.
