Commisso refuses to rule out sale of Milan-linked Fiorentina duo: “I don’t want to talk about it”

By Oliver Fisher -

Fiorentina president Rocco Commisso has once again refused to rule out the sale of AC Milan-linked duo Nikola Milenkovic and Federico Chiesa.

Milan are in desperate need of a reinforcement in the centre of defence, and among the names most frequently linked has been Milenkovic, though most sources have reported that Fiorentina are not willing to sell or would demand a fee of €40m to do so.

Meanwhile, Chiesa is a player that also continues to be linked with Milan. He has a contract which is set to expire in 2022 and with no signs of a renewal, Commisso’s hand may be forced if a big offer comes in.

Commisso spoke to SportMediaset about the situation surrounding his two star players, starting with Chiesa, and he gave little away.

“I’m not talking about these things, I saw Federico, he was training like all the other players. If he will play against Sampdoria on Friday? He followed the training of Iachini’s team.

Chiesa is not the only Fiorentina player that is attracting interest from Milan, Inter and Juventus. The Milanese duo in fact remain interested in Milenkovic.”

“There are still a few days until the market closes and I don’t want to talk about it, I don’t even know what will happen, there are some negotiations, I hope the squad will remain as it is”, added the owner of the Tuscan club.”

  1. I really hope Comisso will understand, that Milankovic does not want to renew his contract, and clearly wants to move on, and next year he will be lost for nothing otherwise! So Commisso must lower the price-tag on Milankovic, but he is a very rich man, who is just upset, because he could not buy Milan!
