Yesterday, a report suggested that Sergio Conceicao could stay in Serie A after leaving AC Milan. Today, it seems the first steps have been taken.
Everything has been pointing towards Conceicao leaving for months now. Even winning the Coppa Italia was only going to be a chance of survival, not a guaranteed extension of his tenure. However, it seemed the coach was actually favouring a departure.

With Massimiliano Allegri, by all accounts, ready to come through the door, the Portuguese’s future seems to be away from Milan. Although it may not be away from Italy.
Lazio are reportedly interested in the head coach despite this rocky spell in Italy, according to reports yesterday, and today, it seems the first steps have been taken to bring him to the club.
As Milan News 24 writes, the Laziali, this morning, have begun to seek understanding of the feasibility of this operation with the club evaluating his return. He is not the only candidate with Rossoneri history, though.
In fact, the club are seeking Maurizio Sarri, who was a candidate to replace Conceicao this time around, whilst Gennaro Gattuso’s name is also being floated around the Stadio Olimpico as a possibility.
It remains to be seen which option will be taken, but with a destructive ending expected to his time at the club, he probably would not return to San Siro with kindess in his heart.

If he goes to Lazio, he will do well. He is a good coach but Milan tried to destroy his CV.
He must have gotten fed up with the glaring anomalies that need to be fixed at the club, but the entitled Italian media bashed the living daylight outta him.
